The Riello 530SE is an oil burner control box, supplied under Riello spare-part number 3001156. It manages the burner start-up sequence, ignition and oil valve operation, with photoresistive flame supervision and an illuminated manual-reset button.
Start-up and Flame Supervision
- The burner motor starts on a heat demand, followed by a prepurge period of approximately 12 seconds.
- Ignition and oil valve opening follow the prepurge sequence.
- If a flame is not established, the controller locks out after approximately 5 seconds of the ignition safety period.
- The lockout indicator and reset button provide local fault indication and manual reset.
Electrical Connections and Construction
The 530SE uses a plug-in terminal board and incorporates the ignition transformer. The photoresistive flame detector plugs into the controller beneath the transformer. The wiring diagram provides a connection for an external lockout lamp rated at 230 V, 0.5 A maximum.
Riello lists the terminal board as 3002278 and the photoresistive detector as 3002280. These components have separate spare-part references from the 3001156 control box.
