MAXON KINEMAX Series G is a gas-fired, nozzle-mixing burner with a refractory-block firing arrangement. Its medium-velocity discharge promotes movement of hot gases through the furnace, supporting heat transfer around the workload. Typical manufacturer-listed duties include forging, annealing, melting, ceramic furnaces and oxidizers.
The external combustion-air supply is matched to the required firing point. KINEMAX can operate with different air/fuel strategies, including on-ratio and specified excess-air or excess-fuel conditions. This gives furnace designers a choice of operating arrangements, provided the selected burner and controls are suited to the process.
Refractory Construction and Air Supply
The refractory block forms part of the combustion arrangement and must suit the furnace construction. The burner also supports specified preheated-air applications, while a removable rear plate provides inspection access. For selection, the air pressure and temperature must be stated with the required duty: changing the air-supply conditions changes the rating available from a given size.
