MAXON AIRFLO burners heat fresh process air directly as it moves through the burner section. The NP and RG designs use oxygen from the passing airstream, so they do not require a separate combustion-air blower. Modular burner sections can be assembled into a pattern suited to the duct.
NP-LE is the low-emissions member of the family, developed for direct-fired make-up-air and process-air heating. Standard NP/RG and NP-LE configurations have different firing and airflow requirements. The selected subtype must therefore be matched to the air-handling equipment rather than chosen from linear capacity alone.
The Airstream Is Part of the Burner System
Because the passing air supplies combustion oxygen, the conditions through the burner section are fundamental to operation. Total fan capacity alone does not establish those conditions: duct geometry, air distribution and the operating flow range matter as well. The modular layout allows the firing pattern to follow the air passage, while the appropriate materials and low-pressure options depend on the chosen version.
