The Honeywell C7035A Minipeeper detects ultraviolet radiation from gas, oil and combination-fuel flames. Its shielded UV sensing tube is field-replaceable, and the housing is rated NEMA 4 and 4X. All six models below have a +121 °C maximum operating ambient rating; they differ in minimum temperature, leads and connection threads.

Which Configuration Fits Your Installation?
- Standard 1.83 m leads: C7035A1023 operates from −18 °C; C7035A1031 extends the range down to −40 °C.
- Longer leads: C7035A1056 has 3.66 m leads and a −40 °C minimum ambient rating.
- DIN versions: C7035A1049 uses NPSM connections; C7035A1064 uses BSP connections and is rated down to −40 °C.
- Heat-resistant leads: C7035A1080 has leads rated for 316 °C. Its detector ambient limit remains +121 °C.
Sight-Pipe and Conduit Connections
The standard front collar is 1–11½ NPSM for a 1-inch sight pipe, with a ½–14 NPSM rear conduit connection. C7035A1064 instead uses a 1–11 BSP.P1 front collar and ½–14 BSP-F rear connection. The front mounting and rear wiring interface must be matched separately.
The detector views the flame from its front end and seals against pressures up to 5 psi (34.5 kPa) when correctly installed. Standard lead insulation is rated for 150 °C; C7035A1080 provides the 316 °C lead option.
Control Compatibility and Operating Duty
Use C7035A with R7849A or R7849B UV amplifiers in compatible Honeywell 7800 control systems. Honeywell also lists RA890G controls and R7249A, R7290A and R7749B amplifier combinations.
The burner must cycle off at least once every 24 hours. These detectors have no dynamic self-checking shutter. R7849B amplifier checking does not convert them into continuous-duty self-checking detectors.
Replaceable UV Tube
The sensing tube can be replaced without replacing the complete detector assembly. Honeywell lists 129464M for −18 to +121 °C and 129464N for −40 to +121 °C. The low-temperature tube preserves the −40 °C capability of C7035A1031, C7035A1056 and C7035A1064.
C7035A or C7027A?
C7035A provides a replaceable UV tube, a larger sight-pipe connection and a +121 °C detector ambient limit. The C7027A series has a compact ½-inch collar, a sealed non-replaceable sensing tube and a +102 °C ambient limit.
